7 Recitals - 7 Rising Pianists - 1 Day of Chopin

As part of the 7th Chopin Festival Hamburg 2025, we are introducing an entirely new format: the Chopin Marathon.

On June 29, seven participants in this year's 19th International Chopin Competition in Warsaw will perform in seven consecutive recitals. At the centre of this event are the performers and the works of Chopin. With this format, the Chopin Festival brings to Hamburg a selection of young artists whose musical development is currently being followed with particular interest. The marathon offers not only a glimpse into the upcoming competition rounds in Warsaw, but also the opportunity to experience different interpretations in direct comparison - all within a single day.
